Thank goodness 2020 is over and we have a brand new year to look forward to!
With that being said, we continue the fight against COVID and are in the process of receiving vaccinations with the second one scheduled for February 10th.
If you wish to schedule a visit, we ask that you call Kristin at least 24 hours in advance. We are scheduling 30 minute visits in a designated area located in the back of the building. At your scheduled time, you will need to ring the doorbell and check in at the Kiosk located in the front entryway. You will then be directed around the building to a separate entrance. All visitors will be asked to wear full PPE during their visit, remain a 6 foot distance and follow all safety guidelines.
We are hoping to get new guidance from the CDC in the near future regarding visitation, so stay tuned…

To our families,
I am pleased to share a relaxing of visitation guidelines by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services as advised by the Center for Medicaid and Medicaid Services (CMS). The new guidelines pertain to outdoor, indoor and “compassionate care” visits and impact residents in our Missouri skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care assisted living, and TigerPlace.
The attached guidelines spell out the scheduling, health checks and infection control protocols we will ask you to follow to help ensure we keep our residents safe.

Here is what you need to know:
- Are now permitted regardless of whether a facility has positive COVID-19 cases.
- Outdoor visitation will be allowed for any resident who is COVID negative or asymptomatic and not suspected to have COVID 19; or previously COVID-19 positive but have been release from isolation.
Are now permitted providing the facility meets the following criteria:
- There has been no new onset of COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days
- Residents will designate up to 5 visitors who may visit indoors and visitors will be limited to 2 at a time per resident.
- The facility is not currently conducting “outbreak testing”. Our skilled communities are required to conduct “routine testing” based on the positivity rate in their county. Routine testing alone does not preclude a skilled nursing community from opening indoor visits.
- For skilled nursing communities if county positivity rate is greater than 10% then visitation would only be allowed indoor for compassionate care.
Indoor Compassionate Care Visits:
- Compassionate Care Visits can occur regardless of the community COVID status.
- Compassionate Care includes, but is not limited to:
- End-of-life situations
- A resident, who was living with their family before recently being admitted to a nursing home, is struggling with the change in environment and lack of physical family support.
- A resident who is grieving after a friend or family member recently passed away.
- A resident who needs cueing and encouragement with eating or drinking, previously provided by family and/or caregiver(s), is experiencing weight loss or dehydration.
- A resident, who used to talk and interact with others, is experiencing emotional distress, seldom speaking, or crying more frequently (when the resident had rarely cried in the past).
* NOTE: For situations where there is a roommate and the health status of the resident prevents leaving the room, facilities should attempt to enable in-room visitation while adhering to the core principles of COVID-19 infection prevention.
