Good Morning St. Francis Park Family,   

In addition to what has already been reported here are today’s updates:

  • All of our residents are stable in the building.
  • Whole house testing completed on 12/23 resulted in 2 positive residents and 1 positive employee.
  • One resident was transferred to Americare Skilled community and are being cared for on their special care unit.
  • One resident has been transferred to higher levels of care
  • Another round of whole house testing will be conducted today, 12/28.
  • All residents will continue on in-room quarantine which will continue at least through 1/6/21 which represents 14 days from possible exposure. 
  • We are doing our best to keep our residents engaged and connected during this time.  If we can assist you in connecting with your loved one, please let us know.

Good Morning St. Francis Park Family:

  • Today we received notification that an employee tested positive for COVID-19.   The employee’s last day worked was 12/15. 
  • The employee remains off work and we are hopeful for their full recovery.
  • Today in accordance with our pandemic guidelines we placed all of our residents on in-room quarantine until we complete further testing.
    • We began monitoring residents for symptoms every 4 hours during wake time
    • All staff are wearing N95-masks while on duty and gloves in resident rooms. 
    • We have an adequate supply of personal protective equipment on hand and more available should we need it. 
    • Our most recent health check show no residents with signs or symptoms
  • Today in accordance with our pandemic guidelines, we contacted the local and state health departments to report the positive test results. 
  • Today we are rapid testing of all employees and residents. 
    • You will be notified privately of your loved one’s results
    • We will update our families on the overall results of our community. 
  • In Missouri we allow outdoor visits and indoor compassionate care visits regardless of COVID-19 status.
  • We are continuing to disinfect surfaces throughout the community

Update:  Monday, September 21, 2020

Good evening St. Francis Park Family,

Thank you for taking our calls today regarding our situation at St. Francis Park.  For those of you we did not speak with directly we attempted to leave a message.  Here is what we discussed:

  • Today we received notification that an employee tested positive for COVID-19.   The employee’s last day worked was 9.15 when they were sent home after experiencing symptoms. 
  • The employee(s) remains off work and we are hopeful for their full recovery.
  • Today in accordance with our pandemic guidelines we placed all of our residents on in-room quarantine which will continue at least through 9.29 which represents 14 days from possible exposure. 
    • We began monitoring residents for symptoms every 4 hours during wake time
    • All staff are wearing N95-masks while on duty and gloves in resident rooms. 
    • We have an adequate supply of personal protective equipment on hand and more available should we need it. 
    • Our most recent health check shows no residents with signs or symptoms
  • Today in accordance with our pandemic guidelines, the administrator contacted the local and state health departments to report the positive test results. 
  • Today we started the process of initiating testing of all residents and employees.  We expect to have the tests completed by the end of the weekend.  
    • We expect results by the end of the day tomorrow.
    • You will be notified privately of your loved one’s results
    • We will update our families on the overall results of our community. 
  • In accordance with federal and state guidelines we are allowing no visitors at this time.
