The care professionals at Heritage Nursing Center understand all too well the cycle of hospitalization, returning home, and readmittance that can happen to seniors after a health-related event. Our care professionals are here to ensure our residents avoid being readmitted to the hospital, with successful rehabilitation as our goal.
We feel that it is important to support you through this potentially daunting process and make you feel comfortable and confident with your care plan. Our experienced, encouraging therapists create the best environment to complete a smooth recovery.

We also offer specialty therapy services such as:
- VitalStim therapy: A combination of electrical stimulation and swallowing exercises that accelerate strengthening, restore function and help the brain remap the swallow.
- Lymphedema Therapy: Treats mild to extreme swelling in upper and lower extremities usually caused by the removal of lymph nodes during cancer treatment.
Rehab from the hospital isn’t paid by Medicare part B, it is paid by Part A, Managed Care or Private Insurance. We have a 10-bed Rehab wing (homeward bound) all private rooms, separate from our long-term care residents, specifically designed for our short-term rehab patients that want to rehab and return home quickly. We have outpatient therapy services available for patients that do not require an inpatient stay.
