Eligibility for this benefit is determined by the veterans service connection (also known as vesting) which is determined by the Veterans Administration. A veteran’s years of service, combat status, and other factors go into this determination.
The veteran must be between at least 70% service connected, or 60% service connected and unemployable to be eligible for benefits under the program.
We work closely with the head of community care at the VA hospitals in the state of Missouri (Poplar Bluff, Columbia, St. Louis and Kansas City). It is those individuals who will inform us and the veteran of the service connection.

What is Skilled Nursing and rehabilitation?
Skilled nursing and rehabilitation care is reserved for individuals with often complex medical needs requiring the "skill" of licensed nurses and therapists. Skilled nursing and rehabilitation is appropriate for seniors recovering from stroke or surgery that need intensive, 7-day a week therapies. In addition, if a resident regularly requires the assistance of another to move from bed to chair, or is confined to bed due to their condition, they are generally more appropriate for the skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
